Manchester United have named former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as caretaker manager until the end of the season, a day after sacking Jose Mourinho. Solskjaer spent 11 seasons at Old Trafford, scoring the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final. The 45-year-old takes over with United sixth in the Premier League. “Manchester United is in my heart and it’s brilliant to be coming back in this role,” said the Norwegian. “I’m really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club.”

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez could be out for six weeks after fracturing his left leg during Wednesday’s victory over Burnley. The 21-year-old England international was taken off after 23 minutes following a challenge with Clarets captain Ben Mee. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp complained about Burnley’s tackling during the 3-1 Premier League win at Turf Moor. Burnley boss Sean Dyche said it was a “fantastic tackle” by Mee. A Liverpool statement on Thursday said “initial indications” were that Gomez would be out for up to six weeks, “though this is dependent on how his treatment and rehabilitation programmes progress”. Gomez has played in 13 of Liverpool’s 15 league games this season. He made his England debut last year and has won six caps, but missed this year’s World Cup in Russia because of an ankle injury.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at Arsenal’s style in the final minute’s of the clash at Old Trafford, claiming they dived and wasted time. The two sides played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, with Arsenal taking the lead twice only to be pegged back almost instantly on each occasion. Chelsea star player, Eden Hazard has finally agreed deal with La Liga giants, Real Madrid to move to the Santiago Bernabeu next season. Hazard, who did not score for Maurizio Sarri’s side as they were defeated 2-1 by Wolves in Premier League on Wednesday, has been in talks with Chelsea over a new deal for several months. The Belgium international is weighing up his options with less than two years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, as he harbours serious ambitions to play for Madrid. However, Mundo Deportivo is now reporting that Hazard will snub a new deal with the Blues and instead head to Real Madrid in the summer. The report claimed that the Los Blancos would offer midfielder, Mateo Kovacic to the West London club in an attempt to bring down Chelsea’s asking price of around €170m for the forward, who will turn 28 in January. Fans of Olamide’s YBNL must have been left disappointed after the rapper took to his Instagram page to slow down their excitement for the forthcoming “YBNL Mafia” album. The rapper and singer took to his Instagram page to announce the postponement of their incoming album; “YBNL Mafia,” which features every artiste and producer in the record label. Olamide  who announced in the latter stages of November that the album will be dropping on the 7th of this month has now shifted the date by a week. He says the album will now be dropping on the 14th of December, 2018. He says the reason for the postponement is because they want to give their fans “rich and quality sound.” See post below:-

Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has claimed his decision to drop Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba from Manchester United’s starting XI to face Arsenal is for ‘technical and tactical’ reasons. The top four clash ended 2-2 at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Lukaku and Pogba sat on the substitutes bench as both players started against Southampton at the weekend. Nigerian singer, Small Doctor who was arrested a few days ago for ‘illegal possesion’ of firearms has explained the circumstances that led to his arrest by the Nigerian Police and described it as a case of misunderstanding. The singer was arraigned earlier on Tuesday at the Ebute Metta Magistrate court along with the other occupants in his car and was subsequently released. Small Doctor wrote:- “It was a case of misunderstanding and everything is settled. My fans need to know that I will not get involved in any illegality. The younger ones look up to me for hope and I will never let them down” he said. Small Doctor insisted that he had licence to carry a gun, saying that he was stunned when he later read that he was in possession of illegal firearms. He said:- “As I said earlier, I cannot be involved in any illegal activity. There is no way I will hold a firearm without having a licence”
