Nigeria Crashes Out Of The FIBA Women Championship After Losing To USA In Quarter-final Clash

Nigeria’s women basketball team D’Tigress have crashed out of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup after losing to USA in their quarter-final clash played on Friday, September 28.
The Nigerian team were defeated 71-40 by the reigning world champions as they failed to seal a place in the semifinal of the tournament in Spain.
This brings the end of the road for D’Tigress after having made history at the tournament by beating Turkey to earn their first-ever win at a FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. They also defeated Argentina and Greece to get to the quarter-final stage.

Talks between Arsenal and midfielder Aaron Ramsey over a new contract have broken down. Ramsey’s existing deal expires on 30 June 2019 and the Gunners had been hopeful of tying up fresh terms.
